Lisa Stilwell, Licensed CCA Coach & Canine Massage Therapist in Essex.
My name is Lisa Stilwell and I run Essex Rivers Clinical Canine Massage. I work with dogs of all ages, from pets to show dogs, working dogs and canine athletes. I have a background in Nursing and have always been fascinated by anatomy, physiology as well as complementary therapies.
As my clinical massage experience grew I became aware that I was seeing dogs with poor core strength and muscular imbalances. I have a particular interest in improving mobility and accident prevention this led to my application to train with the Canine Conditioning Academy to be a licenced Coach.
I work on a 1 to 1 basis with clients using a combination of bespoke training and bodywork to achieve a desired goal.
I see clients in my clinic from as far afield as London, Kent, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire for home visits I only see clients within 25 miles of South Woodham Ferrers.
“We progressed onto the intermediate programme after completing the foundation course. Tyson and Charlie loved the new exercises tailored for them, and it was great seeing it challenge them and pushing them further. They absolutely love our sessions and have so much fun with it.
During a visit for their annual health checks the vet commented on both my dogs weight loss and their improved muscle mass, particularly in their hind limbs
She said they were in great condition and I explained they’d been taking part in conditioning which she thought was great.
Neither dogs have been on a diet or an increase in exercise otherwise, so the conditioning definitely has impacted their weight loss and musculature.
We have really loved doing the conditioning course with Lisa; it wears my dogs out for hours afterwards, it engages their brains and I have definitely noticed an improvement in their physical fitness and muscle tone.”

“We will absolutely continue the exercises going forward!”
